Penny Lane Centers is a non-profit organization offering an array of children's social services in Southern California in the areas of Adoptions, Family Preservation, Foster Care, Mental Health, Residential Treatment Facilities, Transitional Services and Wraparound Services. Penny Lane was founded in 1969 to originally serve a handful of abused teens. Since that time our programs and services have expanded to serve thousands of children, youth and families each year. Our mission is to foster hopes and dreams by empowering children, youth and families to reach their highest potential. We are seeking individuals to join our team who have high standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of others.


The Parent Partner (PP) is a direct service provider to Wraparound clients and their families, functions according to the Wraparound process, and cooperates with the team’s work within the Child and Family Team. The PP operates from a strengths-based, family-centered, team-driven, community-based perspective. The PP will practice solution-focused problem solving. The PP provides support, advocacy, system orientation, mentoring, and other supportive services to parents and families involved in Wraparound. The PP helps to ensure that parents are offered training and given information that supports them in their roles as active, informed decision-makers for and with their children. The PP ensures that families have voice, access, and ownership of the Child and Family Plan. The PP provides representation for and with parents at agency meetings, with the Quality Assurance program, in the Penny Lane Wraparound Network Provider Meetings, and at meetings of the Penny Lane Wraparound Community Advisory Committee. The Parent Partner supports program adherence to the County contract and to established Systems of Care (SOC) protocols and procedures.

Position Location:  North Hills

Salary Range: $18.50 up to $21.10 per hour

Bilingual Spanish $1.00 differential per hour

Job Requirements

  • The applicant must submit a letter of interest outlining his or her personal system experience (interfacing with probation, DCFS, special education, mental health, etc.) as the primary caretaker of a special-needs child
  • Must be a parent or a primary, long-term caretaker of a special needs child, with system experience
  • Must pass a fingerprint and background check. Must have had no arrests or reports with DCFS within the past 5 years.
  • Less than a College Degree.
  • Requires Bilingual Spanish
  • Valid California driver’s license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours
