Job Description

We are seeking individuals to join our team who have high standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of others. 

Summary: 

This position provides therapeutic services, such as individual, couples and family therapy. These services may occur in the PFF office, home or community. The Therapist will be working within the context of a team to provide mental health services and case management to clients referred through Department of Children and Family Services, community partner agencies and self-referrals.  The Therapist documents all services according to DCFS and Penny Lane Centers guidelines. This position does not entail DMH documentation. Facilitating groups based on the training and skill level of Therapist and their availability may also be a part of this position.  Therapist will be provided with weekly supervision to assist in obtaining their weekly BBS intern hours to work towards licensure.

The Therapist possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills when working with clients, outside agencies, members of the community, and co-workers.  Excellent clinical skills are used to assess the appropriate level of care for clients and stabilize clients in crisis. Teaming, collaborating and coordination of care with all Penny Lane staff, DCFS, DMH, and other outside agencies is crucial.  This position requires flexibility, excellent time management skills and the ability to manage responsibilities efficiently with little supervision. 


Position Location: Lancaster, CA


Salary Range: $56,450 up to $68,500 per year

Additional $5,000 per year Bilingual Spanish Differential

Plus $2,500 sign on bonus (Paid in two installments: 1st installment paid upon date of hire and 2nd installment paid upon completion of 6 months of employment)

Job Requirements

  • Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology.
  • Must meet and maintain all requirements of the BBS to remain registered as an intern prior to becoming licensed.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license and current automobile insurance and must maintain a clean driving record.
