Job Description

We are seeking individuals to join our team who have high standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of others. 


The Child Activity Coordinator will ensure care for children and youth when parents and other family caregivers are attending classes and training at Penny Lane RFA Program and Parent Academy. Coordinate and teach AWBW classes, read to children, and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs. Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games. Help children with homework and school work. Coordinates child structure activities with interns and volunteers. The Child Activity Coordinator also assists with other administrative and office support activities as needed and works as preceptor for Bachelor level interns.

Position Location: North Hollywood, CA

Salary Range: $15.64 up to $17.72 per hour

Additional $1.00 per hour Bilingual Spanish Differential

Position Shift:  Part Time (Weekday evenings and Saturdays).

Job Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • And must have at least two (2) years’ experience in providing services to inner-city families from diverse ethnic backgrounds and/or working with children.
  • Bilingual Spanish required.
  • Valid California driver’s license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization’s insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.
