Job Description


The Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Program Coordinator receives referrals for the TBS program and with the Clinical Supervisor determines whether the client meets eligibility requirements to receive services.  The Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day operation of services.  He/she develops and coordinates the TBS Specialists’ schedules, provides training, is available for non-clinical crises (with oversight by the Clinical Supervisor), and provides direct service to the clients in the field when necessary.

The TBS Program Coordinator is an organized professional who is able to coordinate the schedules for multiple clients and TBS Specialists while ensuring the fulfillment of service time expectations and honoring programmatic expectations.  The TBS Program Coordinator is an effective communicator who is able to adjust their communication style bases on their audience.  They are a flexible problem solver and a self-starter who can assume a wide range of responsibilities and provide timely responses to requests and deadlines.  The position requires the ability to use a strength-based approach, and collaborate well with all staff, parents, County personnel, outside agency professionals, and school representatives.

Position Location: North Hills, CA

Salary Range: $21.22 up to $24.22 per hour

Additional $1.00 per hour bilingual Spanish differential.

Job Requirements

  • Must possess a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in the behavioral sciences with one year full time equivalent experience working with children and adolescents in a group home, hospital, SED classroom, day treatment or equivalent setting.
  • Or a BA degree in a non-related study with two years’ experience working in the above setting.
  • Or no BA degree and four years’ experience as described above.
  • Previous experience with TBS is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish Required.
  • Valid California Driver’s License, must have current automobile insurance and must maintain a clean driving record.
